Reflection Journal - Week 9

This week in reading we have been figuring out the meaning of words in context. This week in writing we did a recount about the botanical gardens. This week in maths some people did the 7 times tables and long division. This week in integrated studies we did a poster about a person who has contributed to the community. At the botanical gardens we looked around and took photos.

Week 8 reflection journal

This week in Reading we learnt how to figure out words in context. In writing we have worked on finishing our publishing of our immigration stories. Also we have been practising the Long A sound. And to use correct speech punctuation, which included speech marks, saying who the talker was and using new paragraphs for each speaker.

In Numeracy this week we learnt how to relate our multiplication strategies to help us with division.

In Integrated Studies we have selected a person who is from a different background to research for our project.

Dandenong Market

We had a wonderful excursion to the Dandenong Market this week. The people there were really friendly and welcoming and there was a real sense of community amongst the stall holders. We  got to try many new foods including dragon fruit, bitter melon, gozleme and Dutch pancakes. Nobody was keen to try the chicken feet. All students should be congratulated on their fantastic behaviour and beautiful manners throughout the day.
